For the tourist and adventurer there is within a 50km radius, and easily accessible, the most famous places of interest. The medieval capital of Dordogne the town of Sarlat is 20km to the west. It has a wonderful Saturday market and numerous outstanding restaurants in the old town center. On your way to Sarlat you pass through La Roque Gageac and Chateau Montfort with its nearby golf course. Also near Sarlat is one of the key fortresses in the "Hundred Years War", the Chateau Beynac. South of and in sight from the fortress Beynac is its counterpart Chateau de Castlenaud with its stunning medieval weapons museum.
