You first get this impression upon arriving, when you leave the road and enter the large driveway that leads into the campsite. To one end of the campsite there is a small but impressive château, after which the campsite is named. To the right of the château is the large swimming pool complex including an indoor pool. This is obviously a main attraction when the weather is poor. The campsite bar is situated in one of the historic buildings opposite the swimming pool, so you can enjoy a refreshing drink whilst watching the children play in the pool. The restaurant is to be found on a different part of the campsite in a chalet-like building and serves delicious food typical of the region. The campsite has a shaded area but also a sunnier part and the grounds are very well kept.
