Golf Parque da Corcovada is well located for access to 9 golf courses within easy driving distance, the closest being 10 minutes away, and there are another 26 courses to try along the Algarve! Elected as the “Established golf destination of the year 2006” it attracts many golfing visitors from all over the world to play on the finest and most challenging courses. Travel Faro airport is serviced by most budget airlines and is only 30 minutes by car/taxi. Airport pickups can be arranged on request and car hire companies can be recommended, although a car is not essential. Distances Faro 40km, Lagos 45km, Portimao 35km, Tavira 60km, Vilamoura 22km, Lisbon 256km (reached within 3 hours via fast toll motorway). Local shops/supermarkets are minutes on foot, and taxis into Albufeira Old Town only cost around 5 euros. Further details Albufeira is regarded as the tourist capital of the Algarve, and being so central it facilitates quick and easy access to visit all the other Algarve resorts. The Old Town still retains its charm, especially in the evenings. As a tourist resort it remains open all year round.
